ClimateFirst evaluates a building's exposure to physical climate risks. This includes both chronic and acute climate hazards. Chronic climate hazards are gradually changing climatic conditions, such as rising temperatures (heat) and increased rainfall (precipitation) that persists over extended periods and can cause sustained impacts to an asset. Acute climate hazards are sudden and severe weather events, such as floods, wildfires, and extreme wind, that can cause immediate and significant impacts on an asset.
